A fifth place finish and a day out at Wembley with a new manager at the hotseat in his first season at the club. Can you really argue with that? For me, you can’t really.
I have been pretty happy with this season, and Mauricio Pochettino is just starting to fully implement in system into the side, and things look very bright for the future.
Although we say it every year, with a few good additions to the squad over the summer transfer window, I feel that we can make a real push for the top four next season.
Anyway, enough of my reaction to the season, here is how you reacted to our season over on Twitter.
A couple of weeks ago people were tweeting me saying we’d gone from 5th to 6th to 7th in consecutive seasons. Would 5th show progression?

Good season. The highlights for me pic.twitter.com/tXS0dm4Vya

5th for Spurs – behind four teams who all bought at least one £30m+ player each last Summer – and a final. Calm yourselves, could be worse

The squad inherited wasn’t brilliant and last summer wasn’t huge. For that reason, Poch did well to achieve 5th and reach a Cup final!

Fantastic to finish 5th in Pochettino’s first season. Overall not a fantastic season, but plenty of positives to take into next year.

I think we’re all a bit stunned by the fact we’ve finished 5th. The Poch Out brigade must be suicidal.

Poch had shown what he can do with a very, very poor squad. Needs backing now.

Cup Final. 5th place. Team built around academy products. Annihilating the Champions. Unbeaten vs. The Scum. Decent season. #COYS

Next time you moan about Spurs just remind yourself you support the 5th best team in England. Many football fans would like to say that.
