Some will say that Emmanuel Adebayor is a problem at Tottenham that just will not go away, and if we were to believe all of the newspaper reports, it would seem that Spurs have been trying to get rid of the striker for quite some time.

Now it looks like Daniel Levy has had enough, and the Daily Mail report that Levy will pay a percentage of the striker’s wage to ensure he accepts a move elsewhere this summer.

Adebayor has been close to moves before, the two clubs have agreed terms, but the deal has often fallen through when it comes to agreeing terms with the player, who will not take anything less than his £100,000 per-week wage that he currently receives at White Hart Lane.

Levy, keen to get Adebayor off the books at Tottenham, could now pay a percentage of the £100,000 per-week wage that Adebayor will earn when he finally makes his move.

The hitman will enter the final twelve months of his contract this summer, and it looks unlikely that he will sign a new deal at the club, and will reportedly be placed on the transfer list this summer, with West Ham being touted to sign the striker.
