The Daily Star claim that Tottenham are interested in signing Manchester United striker, currently on loan at Real Madrid, Javier Hernandez.

Reports suggest that the Lilywhites could make their move this summer, and will look to beat the likes of West Ham, Everton and Stoke, who are all vying for the Mexican’s signature.

Not only is Hernandez deemed surplus to requirements at Old Trafford, the opinion is held about him in Spain at Real Madrid, and the striker will return to Manchester after his loan expires.

West Ham reportedly lead the race to sign the front man, and it is believed that the eventual buyers will have to shell out at least £8m in order to secure Chicharito’s services.

Hernandez has played just 219 minutes of Spanish football since his move abroad, but he has still managed an impressive three goals and two assists.

However, Carlo Ancelotti may look to bring the youth into the first team to provide backup for Karim Benzema, instead of paying the £8m required to make Hernandez’s move permanent.
