THREE Selection Headaches Pochettino Faces Ahead Of Wembley Showdown

3) Hugo Lloris or Michel Vorm?

In terms of footballing ability and on the pitch presence, there is only one winner here. Hugo Lloris has asserted himself as one of the league’s best goalkeepers this season having pulled off some sublime saves and even earned himself the captain’s armband from Younes Kaboul’s absence. But this is a question of Pochettino’s morals. He’s opted to play Vorm in every single League Cup game up until now, including our 1-0 and 2-2 double-header in the semi-finals with Sheffield. Since our League Cup run started with a 3-1 win over Nottingham in September, Vorm has recorded clean sheets against Brighton and Newcastle as well as the home leg of the Sheffield tie. But is this one just too important to leave Hugo out of?

Whatever team Pochettino puts onto the famous Wembley pitch this weekend, the most important player will be the 12th man. Each and every single player (yes, even Soldado) needs backing if we are to pull off the shock of the season and topple the league leaders to take glory.

Come on you Spurs!
