According to recent reports coming from The Express, Manchester United and Tottenham will go head-to-head in order to sign young midfielder Memphis Depay.

Both clubs could make a bid soon after watching the player, with the feedback being good. Depay is thought to be worth around £15m if anybody wishes to buy.

Spurs are reportedly searching for a player to replace Aaron Lennon, who could be on his way out of White Hart Lane, with many clubs interested in taking the Englishman.

Depay became the youngest player to score at the World Cup finals in 2014, and could be interested in a move to Old Trafford  after working with Louis van Gaal when he was Holland coach.

However, it is thought that PSV are unwilling to part with the young, promising talent, and Manchester United are open to taking the 2o year-old on loan.

Spurs were interested in Depay in the summer, and could revive their interest in the Dutch international in the January transfer window.
