Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor has said that some fans may never like him, but he still ‘loves’ all Tottenham fans no matter what.

The striker has not appeared for Spurs since November 9th away to Aston Villa, where he missed an excellent chance to put Mauricio Pochettino’s side ahead.

Adebayor was jeered a little when he replaced Roberto Soldado by the home support in the 2-1 win against Sunderland at White Hart Lane.

The 30 year-old has certainly not been a fan favourite after he launched an attack on the Tottenham home support after their 2-1 home loss to Stoke, leading to a row with the Supporters’ Trust.

Reports have also come from the dressing room that Adebayor was speaking happily in French to some of the Newcastle players in a room between the two dressing rooms after Tottenham’s 2-1 home loss to Newcastle.

Adebayor has also said that he has had some issues this season, and this is what he has recently said about the fans and his season.

“I don’t know if I’ll win the fans over, I just want to do my job as a professional and enjoy myself.

“I’m not here to win any fans back. I don’t want to understand why I was booed.

“I’m very happy to be me. Those who love me, I love them. Those who hate me, I love them as well.

“I’ve been through a lot. I obviously had an issue with my family. Things weren’t going right and I decided to go back home and find a solution.

“I got a few injuries as well, but at the end of the day the most important thing is to get my head right.

“I don’t know whether the problems are sorted out or not, but I’ve realised with my age that I just have to leave all these problems behind me and do what I love doing best, which is playing football.”
