With the January Transfer looming close on Tottenham Hotspur, there will be several key decisions on players sold and maybe players bought in. Stories are circulating that both Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado could be on their way out of Spurs this January with Porto’s Jackson Martinez being readied to be brought to North London.

The 2 senior strikers at N17 have both disappointed this season with Soldado only scoring 4 goals this season and Adebayor only netting twice in the whole campaign. On top of that Adebayor has been absent without trace since his comments about the fans of White Hart Lane and hasn’t been near the team since. Both strikers have been completely put to shame by the incredible performance of Harry Kane this season. Kane has been in sensational form for the North London side having netted 13 goals in all competitions and his all-round play is winning him plaudits from fans, team-mates and critics.

But what about the player, supposedly being brought in to replace those two, Jackson Martinez. Well, he’s been courted by Premier League Clubs in the past, including Spurs, his track record in Portugal is impressive, scoring 56 goals in 72 games for the Portuguese Giants and at 28 years old is hitting the peak of his career. Although his release clause of £40million could be a stumbling block, if Daniel Levy is prepared to offload two of the Club’s highest earners to fund the move, then he may be tempted to do so.
