Erik Lamela finally got his first Premier League goal for Tottenham Hotspur as we got the three points via a 2-1 scoreline against Burnley after Harry Kane gave us the lead midway through the first half. Here are the player ratings.

Hugo Lloris 8 – Nothing he could’ve done for Burnley’s goal, made key saves from Barnes sand Ings and saved well twice at the end to preserve victory.

Ben Davies 7 – Another mature display from Ben, was solid in defence, tackling was precise and used the ball well on counter-attacks, especially first half.

Danny Rose 5 – He was on for about 30 seconds, not worth mentioning really.

Jan Vertonghen 6 – Had a good first half, won tackles commanded the back-line and defended well, got caught out and gave away a few unnecessary fouls late on.

Federico Fazio 6 – Had a good first half, won every ball in the air and defended well, got caught out a lot second half by Ings who had him bet for pace constantly towards the end of the game.

Kyle Walker 7 – Good to see him back on that right side, won plenty of tackles and defended his line solidly, just needs to be more confident ton the ball, but that’ll come when he’s fully-match sharp.

Ryan Mason 6 – Was solid till the injury forced him off, we seemed to lose our shape when he went off, shows how good he’s becoming in our side.

Benjamin Stambouli 6 – Played all of the second half, but did nothing much worth mentioning here.

Nabil Bentaleb 6 – Good commanding display 1st half was quick to the ball and kept the game moving, lost his way 2nd half after Mason was replaced and lost possession too many times.

Erik Lamela 8 – His best display for Spurs by far, worked really hard, won tackles, was positive going forward and a sublime goal too, hope it’s a start for Erik.

Nacer Chadli 6 – Played a neat ball to Kane for the 1st goal, but was very anonymous and left isolated on the wing, tried to win the ball hard but often gave away too easily.

Christian Eriksen 8 – Dictated the pace of the game Modric-esque, crisp in his passes, had several good shots and looks much more comfortable playing behind the striker.

Harry Kane 7 – Superb again from Harry, should’ve had a hat-trick today, movement was good as he created chances, pace, strength and work-rate brilliant, another great showing.

Roberto Soldado 6 – Replaced Kane late on, and did nothing notable.
