Without a win in all competitions in December, Tottenham desperately need a win when they travel to Wales to visit the Liberty Stadium to face Swansea. This will come at no east cost against Garry Monk’s side, although the boss has been rather disappointed with the number do points dropped in their last few fixtures. Gylfi Sigurdsson could start to face his old side. Here is the Tottenham team news and predicted line- up.

Team News:

Many players will return for Tottenham in this fixture, after many key players we rested for our Europa League trip to Swansea. Emmanuel Adebayor is back at home and out of action due to family reasons and after missing Spurs’ last two matches, Kyle Naughton is a doubt to start at the Liberty and will probably face a late fitness test.

Predicted Lineup (4-4-2):

Goalkeeper: Hugo Lloris:

There is no doubt that the Frenchman will start in between the sticks for us tomorrow after he was rested in Turkey. He essentially got us a point last Saturday when we faced Crystal Palace at White Hart Lane and he will be looking to continue his great form.

Defence: Kyle Walker, Federico Fazio, Jan Vertonghen, Danny Rose

I feel it was a big mistake from Mauricio Pochettino not to play his best central defenders on Thursday and I think it would be a good idea to start Vertonghen and Fazio since it has seemed to work in the Premier League. Rose looked good in midweek and should get another start and Kyle Walker could start after making his return and his fitness to surely be tested just before the match, if not Eric Dier can start at right-back if Kyle Naughton also fails his late fitness test.

Midfield: Aaron Lennon, Ryan Mason, Nabil Bentaleb, Christian Eriksen

Before reverting back to the usual 4-2-3-1 formation and style, I think that Pochettino needs to give the 4-4-2 system a few more tries, and with mostly the same players. It will be interesting to see what he does when the likes of Nacer Chadli come back into the Premier League fold. Lennon has been in a decent big of form and should get another run out in the team along with Christian Eriksen. The young duo should also start in the middle of the park after being rested in midweek.

Strikers: Harry Kane, Roberto Soldado:

I think Roberto Soldado needs just one more chance to build on his goal before Harry Kane goes back to being the lone striker. Apart from confidence and building on goals, there are other positives to starting these two up front. Kane can drop into the midfield to help win back the ball, leaving Soldado up top and their link up play is very good.
