Reports suggest that Italian giants Juventus are set to dip into the January transfer window, with Tottenham and Romania defender Vlad Chiriches reported to be on of their prime targets as they look to bolster their defensive options in the New Year.
Chiriches has been linked with a whole host of Serie A clubs since the summer transfer window, Roma being one of the contenders to sign the centre-back.
It is fair to say that Chiriches hasn’t made himself a fan favourite during his time at White Hart Lane, making his fair share of mistakes, most notably this year against Besiktas when he handled the ball in the area and Demba Ba stepped up to covert from the penalty spot. A mistake that possibly cost us top spot in our Europa League group.
Although he is not completely out of the first team picture, Chiriches may be limited to first team minutes as players return from injury, making a January move very possible.
