After three wins in just six days for Maurico Pocehttino and his side, they take a post-Christmas trip to Leicester, who are looking to lift themselves off the bottom spot of the Premier League. The last time they picked up a win was when they won 5-3 at home to Louis Van Gaal’s Manchester United. Here is the team news and predicted lineup.

Team News:

Mauricio Pocehttino’s only injury concern may not even be an injury concern when the side travel to Leicester. Ryan Mason had to come off against Burnley through injury. Luckily, it was just a twisted ankle, but Pochettino says that he could return for the game against Leicester. Emmanuel Adebayor could come back into the fold after he has returned from compassionate leave.

Predicted Lineup (4-4-2):

Goalkeeper: Hugo Lloris:

As always, I expect that Hugo will start again in goal for us. Again, I will praise him for the excellent performances he has put in so far this season for us.

Defence: Kyle Walker, Jan Vertonghen, Federico Fazio, Ben Davies:

Kyle has been solid since his return from injury, and he should probably start again as he has done nothing to warrant being dropped. I though the comments made by Mauricio Pochettino yesterday were very interesting indeed. These comments also suggest that he will start with the same centre-backs that have been performing very well in recent weeks. I also have that sneaky feeling that Danny Rose could be leaving the club if any reports linking us with Aly Cissokho have any truth to them, Ben Davies to start for me.

Midfield: Erik Lamela, Nabil Bentaleb, Mousa Dembele, Christian Eriksen:

Erik Lamela just needs playing time now to really kick on from the goal that he scored against Burnley at the weekend, and I think that Pochettino will give him exactly that. If I was him, I would rest Ryan Mason, even if there is that little doubt, as he has plenty of central midfield backups. Also, that gives Mousa Dembele a chance to impress in the Premier League. Christian Erisken is in fantastic form, and he simply must play in order for us to get the win.

Strikers: Roberto Soldado, Harry Kane:

As Pochettino seems reluctant to play two strikers at home, Roberto Soldado may get most of his Premier League chances away from home due to the fantastic form of Harry Kane. I think that we can go to Leicester and attack this game, and I think Soldado will get plenty of chances. A perfect opportunity to build on that goal that he got against Newcastle in the Capital One Cup.
