Today we saw Tottenham end their poor run of form at home to see off Everton, who took the lead inside fifteen minutes. Yes, we came from behind to grab all three points again, but not in the same dramatic fashion as we did against Aston Villa and Hull away. We also saw a rare goal from Roberto Soldado, who Mauricio Pochettino has shown faith in over the last two games to start him alongside Harry Kane up front. Hopefully, this is the start of a good run of form for Soldado, who seemed to have a big spring in his step after his goal on the stroke of half-time. Here is how Twitter reacted to our win.
In Soldado we have a guy that wants to do well for us more than anything, proud to play for Spurs, passionate. We should embrace him!!

Mason and Bentaleb gave us much needed balance in midfield today though. Very impressed on the whole with their positioning and passing

Fantastic performance in the middle of the park from Nabil Bentaleb today, has come back from his injury and showed his quality.

So much to say about today but I’m far too emotional to write a good piece. I’ll end up having us down for the quadruple. Calm Nikhil, calm.

Adebayor should definitely be out of the team now. Sell him in January and stick with Soldado and Kane. Maybe even bring Jay Rodriguez in.

Still watching it. Still loving it. Still not over it. Great finish and the celebration to match it – https://t.co/Oxq9oOanLn @R9Soldado

4 wins from our last 5 League games, 2 points off 4th place. Last 8 in the League Cup. Last 32 in Europe. It’s not bad being Tottenham.

Honestly I can’t tell you how pleased I am right now of this team. Great drive all throughout the 93 minutes and showed that they care.

The 1-touch passing, the movement, the understanding, the hard-graft, the high pressing, the defensive solidity. Outstanding performance.

We may have been ‘papering over the cracks’ in recent weeks, but today the cement was definitely out. So encouraging, our season starts now.

Fans got behind the team. The team responded. We won. Great formula. Let’s keep it up. #COYS

Next comes a crucial month. In December and the festive period, we will find out an awful lot more about Tottenham under Mauricio Pochettino. This is also a chance for Spurs to prove themselves. In December and new year, we have Chelsea twice, Swansea away, Manchester United at home and more tough fixtures. We can send a message out to other teams over this next month.
