Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has called for the members of the Spurs squad to be less ‘comfortable’ as this will not help the team if they ever have to fight in the Premier League relegation battle. Lloris also feels that it is extremely unfair that some of the blame it being heaped on manager Mauricio Pochettino through these tough times at Tottenham.

‘When it’s the third coach in one year and there are problems, the coach is not necessarily the problem. We’ve been working though, trying to find solutions,’ Lloris told

‘I’ve known times like this at Lyon but, there, there was a real pressure every day and there was crisis management. In London, we’re a bit more on our own, comfortable. We have to get out [of this comfort] because, if we ever have to fight against relegation, being comfortable won’t help us.

‘It really bothers me [that the coach is being blamed].’

Spurs fans will be worried about these comments that the Frenchman made, although he went on to say that he no regrets at all about moving to London. It is worrying that Lloris is thinking about relegation battles at this moment in time, and poor home form could be a big factor in the low morale of the team. With the aspirations of Tottenham Hotspur, the bottom three is not what we want any of our players to be thinking about.

Spurs will be looking to rebuild their form when they travel to Hull after the international break.
